okay.. I've been crosseyed here too long trying to install this theme. I'm running vista x64 SP2. I've changed the browseui.dll out to the one included. But from past themes I've installed you have to change out shell32 too. I know browseui worked because my forward back buttons changed, but everything else is still default style, eg the min/max/quit buttons. I also have the .mssstyle applied, I know that because borders are thinner, and fonts and scrollbars have changed. Can someone please help me?! I know there's another file to replace (Like a shell32), but I just can't find it!!
[link] here are instructions you'll also need to replace the browserui.dll (which are your back/foward buttons) in c:\windows\system32, but make sure you backup the original one first incase anything goes wrong or you want the original ones again
I've patiently waited for Invaderjohn's Win 7 style, but I can wait no more. I'll be reinstalling Vista 64 tonight for this theme, you did a great job! Hopefully by the time Win 7 is actually released, invader will be all done with it. It's gorgeous, keep it up guys <3
Finally convinced me to mess with my Vista system files, I'm so sick of the default theme and this looks amazing.
Any chance anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial or guide on how to install this? Not really sure if I have to replace just the .dlls included in the download or get hold of patched uxtheme.dlls etc.
Awesome though, look forward to your future releases.
It looks so gorgeous on the screenies... but then, when I install it, it's barely usable, firefox looks terrible, everything is too bright. Probably it's just that I'd have to tweak a lot of stuff to get everything right...
