This is a set of very polished and original themes which look great in Vista Basic. However, I have some problems with Aero--firstly, the caption buttons aren't visible, which for me makes the skins almost unusable. The light browseui.dll also doesn't display the navigation bar's background as white, and the systray just shows as black.
Am I missing something obvious, is this designed for SP1 only or is my OS just broken? I wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter, as I'm kind of looking to format my computer with Windows 7 when I can be bothered to pay for/pirate it.
Hi, I've got a problem with Gaia09 visual style and this foobar skin --> [link] When I enable Gaia09, transparency doesn't work anymore in foobar (white-grey background), but it works when I enable basic Vista Aero visual style.
Hey. First of all, thank you so much for this vs, it's absolutely beautiful and perfect for my needs, but there's something bugging me. The taskbar. No matter what i do, it refuses to be transparent. What i wanted to know is, is that even possible?
I can't figure out how to install this, and the tutorial, honestly, is only confusing me more. I can't find any theme files in the download, so I tried just putting the whole folder in my Resources\Theme folder, but no luck there either. Help?
Are you ABSOLUTELY positive you are using the right skin for your version of windows? I'm just saying because i've been playing with this for the past hour working with Win7 version of this great skin... crap...
Hmm, really sorry for being a newbie, but I can't figure out how to use aero. The download contains folders called browser ui, gaia 09.2, etc. I placed each windows visual style into windows/resources/themes and then double-clicked on the style. After applying the style, A theme works but it is not aero, including shadows, flip 3d, etc. I am under the implication that there is a way to enable aero. Which files do I place where? Is anyone willing to help me out?
I'm not sure why but the forward, back and the little arrow near these two didn't change. It's still the Vista blue arrows. And also, for the black visual style (the 2nd one) the start menu button isn't centered. It's actually higher. How can I fix that?
sorry but the tutorial from the readme isn't clear. what files exactly do we transfer to windows/resources/themes folder? do we transfer one of the available gaia09 folders or all of the things inside that folder?
i've installed vista glazz and have my system patched but the theme isn't showing up through the appearance customize window. i've tried inserting the folder and the things inside the folder.
Amasingly Awsome Work. So far, you are the best when it comes to Vista Themes. So easy to install with very few problems if any.
One thing that i cant help mentioning that kinda bugs me a little. The system icons and clock part of the taskbar looks rather odd when you have quite a few tabs in the taskbar, its all because you cant see the gradient change across, but i might modify that a little for personal use If thats okay with you of course. Great to see that it now looks amasing even when using firefox, had a few issues with that before.
well can't seem to make it work as aero - my x64 goes to basic when I try this. at least I know i'm helping earth in my own household and garden: recycle paper, plastic. glass, organic trash , everything. ... that's called permaculture !
